A drop in style progress meeting was held in Rudston Village Hall. This allowed people to find out the progress being made and to see some of the material that is being developed.
The Rudston Local History Group was launched and has already got nearly 20 members. The first meeting of the group will be in September 2013 and will be a great help to build the knowledge of Rudston;s history.
Work has started on the church roof to prevent the damp in the walls in the area to be used by the Heritage Centre. This work is being funded solely by the Church, and when it is complete, and the walls have dried out, work can commence on the Heritage Centre itself.
The model has just come off the CNC router, now it’s off to the model making department for the old fashioned hand work!

For those who don’t recognise the contours, it’s the Low Caythorpe end, of course.

The funding for the Heritage Centre from the Heritage Lottery Fund has been approved. Repairs to the church wall will start soon.
